Payment & Refund Policy

This Payment & Refund Policy describes how Acadion handles course purchases, payment processing via Razorpay, and refund requests. This policy is required for compliance with Razorpay's merchant guidelines and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directives.
1. About Our Payment Gateway — Razorpay
Acadion uses Razorpay as its sole payment gateway for processing all course purchases. Razorpay is a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment service provider authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

2. Accepted Payment Methods
The following payment methods are supported via Razorpay:
UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, American Express)
Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
Net Banking (all major Indian banks)
Wallets (Paytm, Amazon Pay, etc.)
EMI (on supported cards, subject to bank approval)
All transactions are in Indian Rupees (INR).
3. Course Pricing
Course prices are clearly displayed on the Course Detail screen before purchase
Prices include applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable
We reserve the right to change prices at any time; changes do not affect already-purchased courses
Promotional discounts, if any, are applied at checkout and cannot be combined unless stated
4. Purchase Process
To purchase a course:
Tap the 'Buy Now' or 'Enroll' button on the Course Detail screen
You will be redirected to the Razorpay secure checkout
Complete your payment using your preferred payment method
Upon successful payment, course access is granted immediately
A payment confirmation notification will be sent to your registered phone/email
Your purchase record (Payment ID, Course ID, Amount, Timestamp) is stored securely in our database.
5. Payment Security
All payment data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections
Acadion does NOT store card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, or any sensitive payment credentials
Razorpay handles all sensitive financial data in their PCI-DSS compliant environment
Payments are authenticated via Razorpay's 3D Secure and OTP verification where required
6. Failed & Pending Transactions
6.1 Payment Failure
If your payment fails:
Your account will NOT be charged (or the charge will be auto-reversed within 5–7 business days)
You will see a failure message in the App
Try again with a different payment method or contact your bank
6.2 Payment Deducted but Course Not Activated
In rare cases, a payment may be deducted but course access may not be granted immediately due to network issues. If this happens:
Wait 15–30 minutes and refresh the App
If the issue persists, contact us at saburu85@gmail.com with your Razorpay Payment ID
We will verify the transaction and activate your course within 24 hours
6.3 Duplicate Transactions
If you are charged twice for the same course, contact us immediately with both Payment IDs. We will refund the duplicate transaction within 7 business days.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Eligibility for Refund
Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:
Request made within 7 days of purchase
Less than 20% of the course content has been accessed
Technical issues on our end prevent you from accessing the course content
Accidental duplicate purchase of the same course
7.2 Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will NOT be issued for:
Change of mind after accessing more than 20% of course content
Live class sessions already attended
Requests made after 7 days of purchase
Violations of our Terms of Service
Inability to use the App due to device incompatibility known at time of purchase
7.3 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
Email us at saburu85@gmail.com with Subject: 'Refund Request – [Your Name] – [Course Name]'
Include: Your registered phone/email, Razorpay Payment ID, reason for refund
Our team will review and respond within 3 business days
Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method
7.4 Refund Processing
Refunds are initiated via Razorpay to your original payment method
UPI/Bank Transfer refunds: 3–5 business days
Credit/Debit Card refunds: 5–10 business days (depending on your bank)
Wallet refunds: 1–3 business days
Note: Razorpay's payment processing fees (if any) are non-refundable.
8. GST & Tax Invoice
GST is included in displayed course prices where applicable
Tax receipts/invoices are available on request via email
Contact saburu85@gmail.com with your Payment ID to request a GST invoice
9. Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute regarding a payment:
First, contact us at saburu85@gmail.com — most issues are resolved within 48 hours
If unresolved, you may raise a dispute directly with Razorpay through your bank
For credit/debit card disputes, contact your card issuer directly
We are committed to resolving all payment disputes fairly and promptly.
10. RBI Guidelines Compliance
Acadion, through Razorpay, complies with all applicable RBI directives including:
RBI Guidelines on Payment Aggregators and Payment Gateways (March 2020)
Data localisation requirements for payment data
Recurring payment mandates (if applicable) with explicit user consent
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our payment practices or regulatory requirements. Users will be notified of significant changes via in-app notification.
