Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 28, 2026

Welcome to Acadion! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Acadion mobile application operated by the Acadion team ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App

  • The App is intended for students of Class 9 and 10 in Assam, India

  • If you are below 18, your parent or guardian must consent to these Terms

  • You must provide accurate registration information including name, class, and board


2. Account Registration

  • You may register using Google Sign-In or Phone OTP (Firebase Authentication)

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account

  • You must not share your account with others

  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms


3. Courses & Content

3.1 Free vs. Paid Content

  • Some content (sample videos, limited tests) is available for free

  • Full course access requires a paid purchase (e.g., ₹999 Full Course)

  • Access to purchased courses is granted to the purchasing account only and is non-transferable

3.2 Content License

All course content including videos, PDFs, notes, tests, and live class recordings is the intellectual property of the App or its content partners. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access content for personal educational use only. You may NOT:

  • Download, record, or redistribute any paid content without written permission

  • Share login credentials to allow others to access your purchased content

  • Use content for commercial purposes


4. Payments & Refunds

4.1 Payment Processing

  • All payments are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway

  • Accepted payment methods include: UPI, Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, and Wallets

  • Course prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes

  • Payment confirmation will be sent via push notification and email

4.2 Refund Policy

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase via email to support@acadion.in

  • Refunds are considered if: less than 20% of course content has been accessed, or technical issues prevent access

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days

  • Razorpay transaction fees may not be refundable

  • No refunds will be issued for live class sessions already attended

4.3 Failed Transactions

If a payment fails but your account is charged, please contact us immediately at support@acadion.in with your Razorpay transaction ID. We will resolve the issue within 48 hours.


5. Live Classes

  • Live classes are conducted via Jitsi or Agora WebRTC integration

  • Scheduled timings are in Indian Standard Time (IST)

  • Recordings may be made available after the session ends

  • Disruptive behavior during live sessions may result in removal and account suspension

  • We are not liable for technical failures caused by third-party streaming platforms


6. Tests & Assessments

  • Mock tests are timed and auto-submitted when the timer expires

  • Results are stored and visible in your performance report

  • Attempting to manipulate test results or use unfair means is prohibited and may result in account suspension

  • Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on test scores and are for informational purposes only


7. Chat & Communication

  • The in-app chat feature is for academic communication with teachers only

  • Do not share personal contact details, social media handles, or engage in non-academic conversations

  • Abusive, offensive, or inappropriate messages will result in account suspension

  • Chat messages may be reviewed by administrators to maintain safety and quality


8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App

  • Use automated bots or scripts to access the App

  • Impersonate another student, teacher, or administrator

  • Post or share content that is obscene, defamatory, or illegal

  • Circumvent any content protection or access control mechanisms


9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and materials in the App are owned by Acadion or its licensors. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Acadion shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to content, or disruptions to live class sessions.


11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Assam, India.


12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
